Please read carefully the following terms and conditions before
using GuildBoss. The installation and continued use of GuildBoss
indicates your acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.


LICENSE AGREEMENT

   GuildBoss is shareware - this is not free software!  You are hereby
   licensed to use GuildBoss for evaluation purposes only, without
   charge, for a period of 30 days.  If you continue to use GuildBoss
   beyond the 30 day evaluation period you are required by law to pay
   the required registration fee. 

   Unregistered use of GuildBoss after the 30-day evaluation period is
   a violation of U.S. and international copyright laws!

   You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, sell, rent, or
   lease GuildBoss.

   GuildBoss (software and documentation) is owned by the author,
   Paul H. Soares, Jr., and is protected by United States copyright
   laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat
   GuildBoss like any other copyrighted material, e.g., a book or
   music CD.

   1. Registered Version

      You may make copies of registered GuildBoss for backup purposes
      only. You may not distribute the registered version of GuildBoss.
   
      One registered copy of GuildBoss may either be used by a single
      person who uses the software personally on one or more computers,
      or installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by
      multiple people, but not both.

      You may access the registered version of GuildBoss through a
      network, provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the
      software covering all workstations that will access the software
      through the network.  For instance, if five different workstations
      will access GuildBoss on the network, you must obtain licenses for
      all five workstations individually, regardless of whether GuildBoss
      is accessed at different times or concurrently.

      You may not use your registration code to access unregistered copies
      of GuildBoss nor are you allowed to give your registration code to
      others.

   2. Unregistered (Evaluation) Version
      
      You may copy and/or distribute the unregistered version of GuildBoss
      freely, without warranty.  You may make unregistered GuildBoss
      available through electronic means (e.g., a BBS or web site) so long
      as it is provided in its original form: contains all original program
      and documentation files.

      You may install and evaluate GuildBoss as described above.


DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

   THE SOFTWARE AND DOCUMENTATION ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT
   WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.  THE AUTHOR FURTHER DISCLAIMS ALL
   IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY IMPLIED 
   WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,  FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
   PURPOSE OR AGAINST INFRINGEMENT.  THE ENTIRE RISK ARISING OUT
   OF USE, DISTRIBUTION OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SOFTWARE AND
   DOCUMENTATION REMAINS WITH YOU.

   IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES
   WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONSEQUENTIAL
   OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS,
   BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION OR OTHER
   PECUNIARY LOSS) ARISING OUT OF THE USE, MISUSE OR INABILITY TO
   USE THE SOFTWARE OR DOCUMENTATION, EVEN IF THE AUTHOR HAS BEEN
   ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.  BECAUSE SOME STATES
   DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR
   CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, PARTS OF THE ABOVE LIMITATION
   MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
